José María
Rodríguez

Project Director

José María Rodríguez is a professional engineer with over 40 years of engineering experience. He holds a Doctorate, a Master’s and a Bachelor’s degrees in Engineering from the University of New Brunswick in Fredericton, NB, Canada. He has been certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP) by the Project Management Institute (PMI) and is a member of the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of New Brunswick (APEGNB). He has acted as a senior planner / scheduler on projects across Canada and in Venezuela. His planning/scheduling experience includes nuclear facilities, waste management, industrial, infrastructure, windfarms and other utilities. Prior to that, Mr. Rodríguez worked as a project manager, consulting engineer and systems manager.

Giacomo
Santana

Technical Director

Giacomo Santana is a university professional with over 30 years of experience in the area of information technology. He holds a software engineering technology degree from the “Pedro Emilio Coll” University Institute in the City of Puerto Ordaz, Bolívar State, Venezuela. He has extensive experience in the area of  Systems  Development, Database Administration, and Database Security. His experience includes the sectors: Oil, Banking, Steel and Nautical. Mr. Santana is an expert ITC Consultant in the private industry in Venezuela.

Mónica
Rodríguez Grüber

Communications Director

Mónica Rodríguez Grüber is a human resource advisor working with the Canadian Federal Government. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences with a specialization in Psychology from the University of Ottawa, ON, Canada. Throughout her university career, she worked as a student with various teams within the Federal Government, with a special focus on psychology and mental health in the workplace. She became a permanent employee in 2019 and now works in the Diversity and Inclusion Taskforce.

José Luis Varela is a lawyer with more than 30 years of experience, with a graduate degree in Commercial Law. He has experience in Civil, Commercial, Labor, Tenant, Succession, and Administrative Litigation matters. He has worked in the Corporate Commercial activity; consulting, promoting and hiring franchises; processing and registration of trademarks and patents; consulting and development of legal structures for condominiums, real estate and construction companies; elaboration of documentary research projects and edition of legal publications for publishing companies. He is a graduate school university professor and author of legal publications. Currently, Mr. Varela is a Legal Advisor and Consultant for national and transnational companies.
